Moru Kachiyathu, Vendaka Tomato Masala & Green Peas Egg Fry

Moru Kachiyathu is probably the simplest of traditional Kerala curries. Yet, this remains an inevitable one of any Sadhya (festal meals or main course of food). Here, this video demonstrates the simplest method to make easy Moru Kachiyathu.

Along with Moru Kachiyathu, two other curry recipes viz. Vendaka Tomato Masala and Green Peas Egg Fry are also explained.

Moru Kachiyathu Recipe

1. Small Onions – 4 nos.
2. Garlic – 3 nos.
3. Ginger – 1 medium piece
4. Green Chilies – 1-2 nos.
5. Curd (diluted) – 1 1 /2 cup + 1 Cup Water
6. Coconut oil – 1 1/2 tbs
7. Mustard seeds – 1 tbs
8. Jeera (Cumin) – 1/2 tsp
9. Fenugreek seeds – 1 tsp
10. Dry Red Chillies
11. Curry Leaves
12. Salt – According to taste
13. Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
14. Kashmiri Chili Powder – 1/4 tsp to 1/2 tsp

Vendaka Tomato Masala Recipe

1. Desiccated Coconut – 1 cup
2. Garlic – 3- 4 nos.
3. Small Onion – 5 nos.
4. Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
5. Kashmir Chili Powder – 1 1/4 tbs
6. Coriander powder – 3/4 tbs
7. Coconut oil – 1 1/2 tbs
8. Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
9. Dry Red Chilies – 3 nos.
10. Curry Leaves
11. Ladies Finger/ Vendaka (Sliced) – 10 to 15 nos.
12. Big Onion – 2 nos.
13. Salt – According to taste
14. Tomato – 3/4 slices
15. Water – 1 1/2 Cup
16. Fenugreek Seeds – 3/4 tsp

Green Peas Egg Fry Recipe

1. Coconut oil – 1 1/2 tbs
2. Green Chilli – 1-2 nos.
3. Curry Leaves
4. Big Onion – 2 nos. (finely Chopped)
5. Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
6. Pepper Powder – 3/4 tsp
7. Kashmiri Chili Powder – 1/2 tsp
8. Garam Masala Powder – 1/4 tsp
9. Eggs – 2 nos.
10. Green Peas (Cooked) – 1 Cup
11. Salt – According to Taste
