Palappam is one of the most popular breakfast recipes for everyone in Kerala and in today’s video we will see an easy to make palappam recipe with grated rice.
In one of our previous videos, we have learned how to prepare palappam in Kerala style. After seeing that video, many asked quesitons on how to prepare easy palappam with rice or pachari.
Though there are different types and styles of making, Palappam remains our favorite recipe. So let’s get started with this traditional method of palappam.
- Raw Rice (Soaked) – 2 Cups
- Cooked Idli Rice (Doppi Rice) – 1/2 Cup
- Water – 1/2 Cup
- Sugar – 2 to 4 tbs
- Coconut Milk (Medium or Thick Consistency) – 1/2 Cup
- Instant Yeast – 3/4 tsp
- Salt – According to taste
- Additional Water – 1/4 Cup
- Soda Bicarbonate – 1 Pinch
